Summary: This unit will guide students through the analysis of documents relating to the Black Plague and its effect on Medieval Europe and ask them to compare the reaction to the Black Plague to modern reaction to the AIDS epidemic. This unit addresses past attitudes to the Plague and it’s effect on the population’s attitudes toward religion, politics, culture and economics.
